How To Do Things Fast And Save Lots Of Time
By Michael Lee

Don't have too much time on your hands? Then learn how to do things fast. What is hard and complicated can be easy; and what is easy can always be easier.

Read on to find out how to do things fast.

Tip # 1: Save Your Password.

If you lead such a fast-paced life, then you probably don't have a lot of time to check your email or Facebook account for messages. What you can do to read your messages faster is to allow your computer to save your password. This way, you don't have to log in all the time.

Typing your email address, username and password takes more time than you realize. A word of caution though - you should only do this for your own personal computer to avoid compromised accounts. Don't do this for any online account that involves money transactions either.

Tip # 2: Consolidate Information.

If you don't have a smart phone, then perhaps you should invest in one now. Smart phones allow you access to a lot of important programs that make your life easier.

If you want to check messages, you can also do that with a smart phone. Do you have a presentation you need to make? Some smart phones also have that ability.

Other gadgets such as tablets are not only portable, they're also extremely useful. Take advantage of technology and allow it to make your life easier.

Tip # 3: Do Your List While Traveling.

Another area in your life that could use tips on how to do things fast is making lists. Everyday, people make lists. They allot time to think about what to buy in the grocery, what to bring to the road trip this weekend, etc. These lists can be done whenever you're in transit.

If you're on your way home on the bus, why don't you create your list there? If you're riding the subway or taking a cab, you can also come up with a lot of wonderful ideas there. Write them down on a pocket-sized notebook or your phone.

Most of the time, people just have an empty expression and an even emptier mind when commuting to and fro. Don't waste that time doing nothing.

Tip # 4: Always Have An Extra Shirt.

If you're the type whose job is to meet with people regularly, then you need to learn how to do things fast. In this case, you need to learn how to prepare for clients quickly.

While some preparations take time (proposals, appointments, etc.), others require only a few seconds. I suggest always having an extra button down shirt in your car and a kit for personal grooming on hand. If you don't have time to brush your teeth, chew on a mint.

If you don't have time to rush home and take a shower, invest in wet towels. And if you haven't heard of dry shampoo, then I suggest you look it up right away.

Tip # 5: Be Organized And Lessen Preparation Time When Leaving The House.

You'd think you wouldn't need to learn how to do things fast as you leave the house, but you might be surprised at how long it takes for people to actually get to the front door. That's because they always manage to leave something behind.

If you have a car or anything that requires keys, put them all in one place. I put mine in a small bowl by the foyer so I won't miss them.

I also have a routine all perfected. When I wake up, I go to the bathroom, have breakfast, take a bath, put on clothes that I prepared the night before, gather my things which I also prepared in advance, etc.

Learning how to do things fast can seem ridiculous to other people; but if you want to save your time and maximize your day, then these tips should help you do just that.
